Economic Forum in Krynica, Poland, 5-7 September 201707/09/2017
Officials from all the counties of the North-East Region are actively participating at the largest economic conference in Central and South-Eastern Europe, the Economic Forum held in Krynica, Poland, on 5-7 September 2017.
In Poland, over 3,000 guests and 500 journalists from at least 60 countries on three continents come to find concrete ways to collaborate, learn models of government and economic development, and discuss issues of the contemporary world. For 3 days, debates and information sessions are organized on areas such as tourism, art, innovation, research, civil society or cooperation between regions. Among the speakers are the presidents of Neamt and Suceava County Councils, Ionel Arsene and Gheorghe Flutur, Vaslui County Council Vice President Vasile Marciuc, as well as Executive Director Marieta Afilipoaie of the Iasi County Council and Alina Popa - Executive Director EURONEST. Along with them, the representatives of the North-East Regional Development Agency, Robert Cotuna and Cosmin Cristal.
The Krynica Economic Forum is a large-scale traditional event, organized each year in September, which generates contacts and administrative, economic and cultural partnerships between regions, public institutions and even employers' organizations. As an active partner and promoter of the projects that generate economic development in the region, as well as a partner of the public institutions, the North-East Regional Development Agency is an annual participant in this forum and is involved in organizing the delegation of the North-East Region.
