The European Commission launches the new and ambitious European Union Climate Change Adaptation Strategy on 24 February 2021.

To promote this strategy, two days of virtual events will be organized, on February 25 and 26, both at the basic technical level and events aimed at advanced research in the field of adaptation to climate change.

The strategy complements the proposed European legislation on the European Green Pact and sets out to promote the capacity for adaptation and social transformation for a climate-resilient society, fully capable of withstanding the inevitable effects of climate change.

During this event, members of the communities responsible for adaptation and risk reduction to natural disasters, will discuss the possibilities of achieving the objectives proposed in the strategy and accelerate actions to increase resilience.
